Up to 1,250 new jobs could be created as part of Everton stadium development

Up to 1,250 new jobs could be created and 1,000 new residential properties could be built as part of Walton Hall Park’s regeneration project, a recent news report in the local media was able to reveal.

Volterra Partners has completed a feasibility study on the proposals, after it was revealed earlier this year Walton Hall Park was the club’s preferred location.

The outline feasibility report found the redevelopment of the site has the potential to unlock regeneration opportunities and develop long term step changes in the area.

It is estimated that a 50,000-seat stadium would take 40 – 50 per cent of the 130 acre park.

Up to 1,250 permanent jobs, 1,000 new properties and 323,000 sq ft of leisure, retail and restaurant space could be created by the plans.

The council and the club are working with partners including Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) and Everton in the Community to discuss ideas for the regeneration proposals.
