Up to 100 employees made redundant as fundraising agency collapses

Up to 100 jobs have been lost as a fundraising agency with offices in Manchester and Dunfermline has gone into administration, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

R Fundraising ceased to trade on 28 July 2015. The company had 22 staff in Manchester and 84 staff in Dunfermline. Staff were made redundant prior to the administration, although one worker has been retained to assist with finalising matters.

Jonathan Beard and John Walters of Begbies Traynor’s Brighton office appointed joint administrators.

Beard said: "We were instructed by the company to discuss its options after a winding-up petition was served. It became apparent from our discussions that the company was not a viable concern as it was loss-making and heavily reliant upon significant funding from its parent group in order to meet wages and other overheads.”
