Nearly one-third of the staff at a Salford plant will be axed after the owners went into administration. There are 138 employees in total, and administrators say 42 jobs will go following a prior meeting with staff. The bases of the company’s pizza products are baked at the Salford site and finished elsewhere. In a statement, administrators Duff and Phelps said: “It is with regret though that as part of the restructuring process that a number of jobs have been made redundant.”
