Surveillance and access control solutions might have prevented Walney school theft

The old Vicarstown School site, in Latona Street, Walney, was quite recently the scene of a theft, a heavy piece of construction equipment disappearing from the premises.

According to a police report, the heavy orange forward/reverse plate, used for compaction, would have required three or more people to carry out of the former school’s area. Unfortunately, sites such as the one mentioned above are quite often the target of thieves, mostly due to the lack of any significant access control solutions on the premises.

This is exactly where Time and Attendance North West comes into play, given our extensive expertise in the field of access control, management and surveillance solutions.

Our range of products includes not only contactless HID smart cards, but also Optional Fingerprint Biometrics access control solutions. When properly installed and configured, they represent the best possible method of controlling access to a certain property.

Moreover, by pairing the aforementioned access control elements with the CCTV surveillance solutions provided by our parent company, Tensor PLC, the theft on the school site might have actually been prevented, the perpetrators being deterred both by not being able to access the premises and by the prospect of their image being recorded on file.
