Security profiles for organisations based upon the time of day and threat level
A radioactive canister was stolen from a van in Rossendale. Lancashire Police said the material within is not considered dangerous if it remains contained in its heavy lead container. The yellow canister was taken over the weekend from a Peugeot Panel Van that was stationed in New Line, Bacup. Ch Insp Russ Procter said: “I would ask the public, especially in the Rossendale area, to keep an eye out for this canister and if they locate it then to call the police who will come and deal with it.”
Time and Attendance North West supplies combined smart card access control and time and attendance systems for organisations. When a person attempts to pass through an access point using their proximity read card or key fob, the T32xx access control unit compares the individuals’ security profile with that of the access point. Security profiles are based upon the day, time of day, and the security threat level of the attempted access.
