Property developer presents plans for £150m employment scheme in Haydock

Plans for a £150m employment scheme in Haydock will soon be submitted to the relevant authorities, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

Bericote Properties is preparing to submit a planning application for 1.4m sq ft of industrial and distribution warehouses at Florida Farm North, creating an extension to Haydock Industrial Estate. The development will also include office space, car parking and improved access to the industrial estate.

The scheme is expected to bring significant employment opportunities to the area with the creation of at least 2,500 jobs. In addition, the development is forecast to generate in excess of £2m per year in business rate revenue for St Helens Council.
