New restaurant opens in Liverpool, creates 30 jobs

A restaurant chain has opened its third venue in Liverpool, creating 30 jobs in the process, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

Archie’s Burger and Shakes is the third for the company and is serving up a selection of burgers, hotdogs, wraps, desserts, smoothies and shakes.

The Liverpool venue was designed and executed by Lee Birchall, managing director of DV8 Designs Lee Birchall, and his Warrington-based team. Archie’s Burgers and Shakes was created in June 2010 by brothers and business partners Amer, Imran, Asim and Irfan Rafiq.

The Rafiq brothers said: "When we decided we wanted to expand our offering and move out of Manchester for the first time, we knew straight away that a Liverpool location was the obvious next step for Archie’s. The city’s food and drink scene continues to thrive and I’m sure that Archie’s will be a popular addition to its already eclectic restaurant catalogue.

"The venue is set over two floors so it’s our biggest site yet, making it the perfect location from which to operate both our take-out and table service facilities."
