John Turner wins contract for £7.5m residential care redevelopment scheme

Construction group John Turner has managed to secure a very lucrative contract worth £7.5m for a residential care redevelopment scheme in Bury.

According to a news report on the matter, work on the ‘Heathlands Village’ project in Bury will start next month, the initial stage of the project involving a complete remodelling of the internal existing communal areas and new landscaping of the external space.

The development has been designed by Manchester-based architecture practice Buttress Fuller Allsop Williams while mechanical and electrical works will be undertaken by Lewis Facilities of Oldham.

Nigel Sharp, operations director at John Turner Construction Group, said: "We’re delighted to have been appointed to handle this innovative project, which will have such a significant and positive impact on the lives of the many people who are cared for."

Given the size of this project, it’s quite likely that the company will also have to bring in external contractors and thoroughly control access to the site, this being specifically where Time & Attendance North West can put its experience to very good use.
