Two Merseyside criminals have been sent to prison for handling stolen art. Kevin Marlow (29) of Halby Road, and Gerard Starkey (50) of Southport Road, both of Bootle, had earlier pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods. There were 14 works stolen from an art dealer’s home in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, five years ago. Paintings were recovered at an address in Halewood, Merseyside, in July 2011. Seven paintings were discovered at the address on Arncliffe Road, Halewood, plus £4,000 in cash.
