A man was seriously hurt when he was attacked at a Carlisle fuel forecourt. He was set upon by three men at the Whiteclosegate site in Brampton Old Road on October 26. Cumbria Police believe one of the vehicles involved was a metallic green Subaru, which was later found abandoned in a field in Houghton. A spokeswoman for the Cumbria force said: “The victim is still in a bad way but is improving. We have only just managed to interview him.”
