Banks set to create thousands of new apprenticeships
As some of UK’s banking giants promise to create thousands of new apprenticeship positions in the near future, it’s becoming quite clear that their respective time and attendance and access control solutions will certainly come under fire.
According to a recent report, Barclays is set to announce no less than 1,000 new banking apprentices across the UK, including in Merseyside. Another important bank operating in the UK, Santander, is also announcing a further 275 apprenticeships, 40 of which will be set at their Bootle centre.
Naturally, adding such a large number of new temporary positions will most likely translate into an increased amount of work for the banks’ HR departments, not to mention administrators, who’ll be prompted to set specific access rules for each of the new apprentices.
This is exactly where the Time and Attendance – North West solutions can lend a helping hand, given the fact that our smart-card based time and attendance and access control systems support the fast and easy addition (and subsequent removal) of a large number of employees. Additional interesting features worth mentioning include Fire Roll Call, absence summary and Auto Clockout, which will certainly come in handy, given the fact that we are talking about new employees, who’re not really accustomed to the rigours of corporate life.
Furthermore, setting specific access rights for each of these apprentices is also an extremely fast and easy process, administrators being also able to quickly and easily create smart cards for the new apprentices and customize them with their owners’ photographs.
