Timber Coaters expands its Wirral workshop


Mobile timber coatings business Timber Coaters Ltd has just agreed to a five-year lease on a 4,736 sq ft unit at Old Hall Industrial Estate on Wrynose Road, Bromborough on the Wirral, Merseyside, effectively doubling the size of its workshop.

Construction work starts on £10m scheme at the University of Liverpool


Construction has begun on the £10m second phase of a campus project at the University of Liverpool, with the works being set for completion by August 2014, a news report in the local business media has revealed.

More than 300 jobs have been salvaged as a training company in Warrington has been bought out of administration, a news report in the local media has revealed.

The majority of the business and assets of Elmfield Training, excluding a contract with Morrisons, was sold to EQL Solutions Ltd, a subsidiary of CareTech Holdings. The Morrisons contract, on the other hand, is likely to be taken over by another provider, along with approximately 50 additional staff associated with this contract.

Liverpool City Council’s planning committee has given develop Fortis Developments planning permission to redevelop Merebank Tower on Greenbank Drive, in the Sefton Park Conservation Area, into one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments, a news report in the local media has revealed.

The development was commissioned by Fortis on behalf of the Homes and Communities Agency and designed by Falconer Chester Hall.
