More than 600 new affordable properties set to be built across Manchester


In excess of 600 new affordable properties are set to be built across the whole of Manchester after the local authority secured £47m in funding, a news report in the local media was able to reveal.

The Manchester City Council has supported 37 bids across 43 sites in the city as part of the Homes and Communities Agency’s 2015-2018 Affordable Homes Programme and granted £11.5m in funding, matched by £35.5m of funding from housing associations.

White City Retail Park in Trafford, Manchester, is set to undergo a £6.5m revamp with the creation of five new shops, bringing the total retail space at the park to 148,000sqft.
