Expanding your staff roster? Why not check out an efficient time and attendance system?
Engage Hub, a Manchester-based social media marketing agency, has gained a £100,000 investment from Maven Equity Finance.
This investment allowed Engage Hub to increase its workforce from 5 to 13, with 5 more roles due to be opened in the spring.
The social media company was established in 2016. It creates and manages social media campaigns, working with a host of influencers who help brands place their products and services in front of millions of users.
Engage Hub has worked with a number of well-known brands including the likes of Bud Light, BlanX and Betfred.
James Darlington, investment manager at Maven Capital Partners, said: "We want to transform the northern economy by backing businesses such as Engage Hub and it is great to see entrepreneurial companies succeeding with our support.
"While we have provided a platform for Engage Hub to build upon I must commend Ray Sherlock and his team for all their skills, expertise and efforts in achieving their predicted targets to date."
Ray Sherlock, director at Engage Hub, added: "Engage Hub are in a great place right now, in many ways. Securing our position in the creative agency landscape has been hard fought and we are delighted with where we are and where we plan to be.
"Major new client wins is testament to the strength of our fantastic team and the ability to create new roles within the agency is enabling us to grow and develop."

An influx of new staff is the perfect opportunity to check whether or not your time and attendance system is as efficient as it should be.
Many companies are still using paper timesheets to record their employees’ hours and calculate their weekly or monthly payslips. There are many disadvantages for using these still in 2018. For example, if your timesheets are submitted monthly it is unlikely that employees will be able to remember their exact hours for the whole month.
This would then lead to incorrect payslips, which could cause problems with the employees, or even with outside authorities if you don’t realise that unreported overtime has put your employee over the Working Time Regulations.
Our time and attendance system records everyone’s entrance and exit from controlled doors, using either smartcards or the more expensive but more secure biometric measurements of hands or fingerprints. So there’s no more chance for employees to forget timings.
All the entrance/exit data from our system is exportable into a format suitable for all major payroll programmes.
The software automatically calculates whether employees’ shifts and hours would make them breach the Working Time Regulations. One less thing to worry about.
We also have the Self Service Module, which can be accessed from a browser or from your mobile via the app (available on Android and iOS). This enables employees to sign in and out, and request holiday amongst other features.
