Preston company set to grow, create jobs after securing loan

DNA Agile, a Preston-based firm specializing in delivering support services for the advanced manufacturing sector, is set to create multiple R&D jobs after securing a development loan, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The company was given the £250,000 loan by Lancashire’s Rosebud finance package managed by Enterprise Ventures on behalf of Lancashire County Developments, Lancashire County Council’s economic development company.

The firm was established back in 2007 by two former senior managers from Airbus and upports more than 250 companies across a range of sectors with a particular focus on aerospace.

Lancashire County Council’s Niki Penney, chairman of Lancashire County Developments, said: "Rosebud aims to bring new jobs and growth to the Lancashire economy by supporting ambitious growing companies.

"We’re pleased that Rosebud has been able to provide DNA Agile with the finance they need to grow their core business through new research and development.

"We’ve identified advanced manufacturing as a key high-growth sector. DNA Agile helps companies in this sector to develop and improve their supply chain, which will in turn benefit those companies."
