Up to 200 new homes could be built on a former school site in East Liverpool should plans submitted by developers Countryside Properties (UK) receive the green light from Liverpool City Council, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The former site of the Gateacre School, which has been earmarked for the development project, lies five miles to the south east of Liverpool city centre and is currently vacant following the demolition of the school buildings.

It is envisaged that there would be 54 three-bed homes, 113 four-bed homes and 33 five-bed homes.

A design and access statement in support of the application has been prepared by Turley on behalf of Countryside Properties.
