H2 Energy to create up to 150 new jobs around Liverpool

Hydrogen based renewable energies experts H2 Energy is set to create 150 jobs, the majority of which will be in Liverpool, over the next three years, after entering a £50m bio-refinery partnership with food manufacturer 2 Sisters Food Group, a recent news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

Under the terms of the contract, the company will build bio-refineries at all 2 Sisters’ 43 factory locations in the UK.

H2 will design, manufacture, construct, and operate the bio-refineries which convert food waste and animal by-products into power and heat.

The project will provide "significant savings in energy and waste management costs" for 2 Sisters and will "environmentally support the drive towards a lower carbon footprint".
