Jobs saved as Manchester print and design company bought out of administration

Twenty positions were saved at a Manchester-based print and design firm after it was bought out of administration, a recent news report in the local media was able to reveal.

Openshaw-based Armin & Butler began trading in 2009 but tighter margins and an increase in competition led to trading difficulties for the group.

Administrators were called in and the firm’s business and assets were sold to Bolton-based Boss Direct.

Jason Elliott, partner at Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery, said: "Due to some unfortunate circumstances the business ran into trouble and could no longer justify trading. But we’re pleased to say that we have been able to secure a sale of the business and assets.

"This means that Armin & Butler will remain a trusted name in the print industry for the foreseeable future under the new purchaser, Boss Direct, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the sector.
