£10m superfast broadband project announced for the North West region
A £10m superfast broadband project designed to help business start-ups and job creation in some of the North West region’s hardest to reach rural areas has been announced as part of a wider government announcement by culture secretary Maria Miller.
According to a news report in the business media, the funding for local authorities in the North West is made up of £3.84m for Lancashire, £2.86m for Cumbria, £2.12m for Cheshire, £700,000 for Merseyside and £450,000 for Greater Manchester.
Communities secretary Eric Pickles commented: "This government’s long-term economic plan is accelerating the roll-out of superfast broadband, to help narrow the digital divide and boost local growth. We are offering additional central government funding to councils who want to work with us to help increase internet speeds for their local residents and local firms."
Installing the aforementioned superfast broadband infrastructure will quite likely require the participation of a significant number of sub-contractors, and this is specifically where where Time & Attendance North West can lend a helping hand.
Our company provides complete multi-user, networked, multi site Time and Attendance, Access Control, Fire Roll Call and security systems including European Working Time Directive checking and reporting.
