Merseyside manufacturer to extend following successful sales
Southport-based United Automation has announced plans to extend its activity and create more jobs in the process, following a boom in sales.
According to a media news report, the £1.2m-turnover company, which moved to a purpose-built factory on Southport Business Park in 1999 and designs/manufactures a wide range of power control products for businesses including heating, ventilating and air conditioning, catering equipment and frost protection, has recorded sustained sales following the smoking ban.
Operations director Dean Fashoni said that: "We’re currently exporting into new and different markets and have designed a couple of new products which have taken us to bigger markets. We’ve just added to the team and expect to hire about another ten staff during the next year to take the payroll up to 35.”
"We have ten new products in the pipeline which have been designed completely in-house based on what we think would be a good seller or what our customers are telling us they need” he added.
