Free bus travel is being offered to the young unemployed of Lancashire, the county council has confirmed. All those aged 16 to 18 who are not in employment, education or training, will be eligible for the free transport within local limits. Mark Perks, Lancashire County Council cabinet member for young people, remarked that transport issues could “seriously impact on a young person’s ability to move into employment.” He added: “Under this initiative, young people will receive the help they need.”
