Fire roll call software aids employee safety in an emergency
Crews were summoned to a Nelson coffin factory fire in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday). Firefighters attended the Walter Lambert and Sons coffin manufacturers site on Edgar Street, near Leeds Road, at about 03:10 GMT. A line of about 12 terraced houses on Leeds Road were evacuated for a short time until crews managed to get the incident under control. Leeds Road has been closed between Poplar Street and Fulham Street.
Time and Attendance North West’s smart card Time & Attendance entry products can be integrated with fire roll call software that will automatically generate a report in the event of a fire or other emergency. Unlike most other systems, this function is executed directly from the clocking stations and does not rely on the controlling PC or computer infrastructure. Employees simply log themselves on and off site using either a smart card or key fob. In an emergency, the fire roll call software annunciates the emergency whilst simultaneously activating your existing warning system.
