Businesses can cut lighting costs with infra red room occupancy sensors

Street lights in parts of Sefton could be switched off to save money. Leader of Sefton Council Peter Dowd said turning off or dimming lighting at certain times of the night could help the council trim its budget. He said: “We have 31,000 lights in Sefton, and not necessarily all of those need to be lit.” Mr Dowd added: “We could have reflective signs rather than a light. You have to look at as many options as you can."
